Carol’s journey began in Rundu, Namibia. Growing up there, instilled in her, an interest
in different cultures and a keen sense of adventure. In the mid 90’s, she moved to work near
Swellendam, in the Western Cape of South Africa.
It was here that her love for connecting with others and her natural creativity, truly blossomed. She found her métier in the world of tourism, providing unique experiences for travellers from around the world.
Despite her success in tourism, Carol developed an entrepreneurial spirit. In 2020, she decided to embrace digital marketing, a new challenge: Cultivating a passion to help businesses thrive in the digital age, she founded Creating Carol, starting with just a handful of clients.
She utilized her skills as an art lover and a sociable ‘people person’ to give her customers a unique personal relationship, while building a thriving digital marketing small business. This venture reflects her dedication, creativity and determination, by the growing number of satisfied clients.
Carol loves exploring new places, at home in South Africa and abroad. She braved the New York subway system!
Greece, Italy, Egypt and Asia, hold a special place in her heart, with their breathtaking architecture and rich history.
She has a keen interest in art, history and the stories of countries and their heroes.
When it comes to music, she enjoys a diverse range, from Classical to 80’s pop. Andrea Bottelli and Hans Zimmer are perennial favourites.
Her passion for stories, especially those written by her particularly enjoyed authors, are filled with adventure and mystery.
At home, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family and of course, Black Lab, Maximus, finding great joy in morning walks.
Photography, road trips and cooking are further interests.
